Well Joyce & I attended the 25th Anniversary Dinner of The Retired Warrant Officers and Senior Non-Commissioned Officers Club Royal Army Service Corps and Royal Corps of Transport in Swansea Wales on Saturday 5th April 2008. Well look what I found. See attached pictures. They are from Left to right, Mike (Taff) Ross, Dave Pedder, Alan (Tiny) Cookman, Hugh Montgomerie, also myself and Dave Pedder. We all enjoyed the entertainment on the Saturday night and Hugh conducted the Drumhead Service and Dedication of the Standard. We DUKW lads get every where.
As regards to the reunion in 2010 I can inform the lads and their partners that I have received conformation for the visit to Instow has been approved and is in the programme of events. Security for the visit will published later because of photography and other sensitive issues for our visit. On the Saturday night there will be music and entertainment but the latter has to be confirmed. Hugh Montgomerie has very kindly volunteered to conduct a service of gathering for us on the Sunday morning before our dispersal. This service would be quite fitting as it will be our “Final Fling”.
